Here you can find a list of our most commonly asked questions and their answers.

  • What is a Notary?

    A Notary Public is an official of integrity appointed by state government — typically by the secretary of state — to serve the public as an impartial witness in performing a variety of official fraud-deterrent acts related to the signing of important documents. These official acts are called notarizations, or notarial acts.

  • What a Notary is not.

    A U.S. Notary Public is not an attorney, judge or high-ranking official. A Notary Public may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice.

  • Why do I need a Notary Public?

    A Notary Public aids in deterring fraud and establishes that the signer knows what document(s) they are signing. Notaries will also ensure that the signer is a willing participant in the signing transaction.

  • What are your hours of operation?

    Hallmark Signings Service is open for business as follows:


    • MON - FRI:   8:30 AM - 6:30 PM
    • SATURDAY: 10 AM - 2 PM
    • SUNDAY:      CLOSED

    *Appointments may be booked after hours by request only. Should you need an after hours appointment, please contact us by submitting a contact form with your request. An after hours fee may apply depending upon time and location of service.


  • Do you have a location I can come to?

    At this time, Hallmark Signings does not have office space and currently performs all it's notarizations at any location that has been agreed upon between the notary public and our customer.

  • How do I make an appointment?

    Making an appointment for your notarization is simple and easy. Click Here to be taken to our scheduling page. There you will be directed to our online scheduling system where you can see a list of available days and times for service.


    Should you need an after-hours appointment or service on a day we are closed, please don't hesitate to contact us with the details of your request, and we will let you know if we are able to accommodate your request.


    *Please note, an additional service charge will apply for after hours service.

  • Can I schedule an appointment after hours?

    Absolutely! Hallmark Signings is here for your convenience. Should you need an after hours appointment, please visit our contact page. Here you can fill out our contact form with the specific date and time you are requesting and we will get back to you in a timely manner.


    Please be advised there will be an after hours fee* applied to your service. 


    *Fees will be dependent upon location and time of service. We will provide a quote once these details have been discussed.

  • Can I schedule a same day appointment?

    Yes! Same-day appointments are always welcome given there is availability for the time you need. All appointments must be scheduled with 3 hours advance notice to ensure time for the notary to contact you for details concerning your appointment location and documents needing notarization.


    *Should you need to schedule an appointment within less than 3 hours of the requested time, please call 615-864-0184 to receive immediate assistance in scheduling your service. Appointment requests made with less than 3 hours notice cannot be guaranteed.

  • What do I need to bring for my appointment?

    To ensure you are completely prepared for your service, please be sure to bring a valid form of photo identification to your appointment. 

    If you do not have your I.D. at the time of service, we reserve the right to forfeit your scheduled notarization appointment.


    Valid forms of Photo I.D. are as follows:

    • Current (unexpired)  Driver's License
    • Current (unexpired) State Issued I.D.
    • Current (unexpired) Military I.D.
    • State, County, and Local Government I.D.
    • U.S. Passport

    You will also need to bring your documents to be notarized if you already have them printed. However, should you need your documents printed, Hallmark Signings will print up to 5 pages at no additional cost to you!

  • Can Hallmark Signings print my documents?

    Yes. At Hallmark Signings we offer print-for-you services. We will print up to 5 pages at no additional cost to you. Should you need more pages printed, an additional fee will apply per every 5 pages printed. 


    If you need your documents printed, we will ask that you send us your documents at least 1 hour prior to your service to ensure we can have them ready for you at the time of your service.  Should you choose to have your documents printed, the only thing you will need to bring is yourself and your Photo I.D. We even supply the pen!

  • What are your fees for notarization and printing services?

    Our notary service fees start at $25. Fees are determined based on travel, number of signatures and type of documents you need notarized during your appointment. 


    When you schedule your service, you will receive a follow up phone call within two hours of scheduling. During this call, you will briefly chat with the notary providing your service and your final quote will be confirmed.

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    We accept the following methods of payment:

    • All major U.S. Debit/Credit Cards (i.e. Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
    • PayPal/Venmo

    *Payment is due upon arrival at the time of service. If payment is not completed, your notarization service will be forfeited.

  • What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

    We understand that things happen, because... LIFE.


    Should you need to reschedule, we ask that you email us at customerservice@hallmarksignings.com. For immediate assistance please call 615-864-0184 or you may reschedule via our online scheduler


    We also allow for cancellations up to 2 hours prior to your scheduled service with no cancellation fee. 


    *Hallmark Signings reserves the right to charge $15 - $25 for services that are cancelled within less than two hours of the appointment time and cancellations of same day bookings.
